Billing and insurance for specialist care at Polikliniek Prins Willem

  • Our specialist services are generally covered by insurance companies but please be aware that your reimbursement may not be 100% . Please check with your insurance company  before booking an appointment, in order to determine your exact level of coverage. 

 

Specialist consultation fees

All invoices issued by the Polikliniek Prins Willem comply with the Dutch billing system and should be accepted by your insurance provider.

In The Netherlands, professional fees for specialist care are most likely based on a different system than the one in your home country.  

All polyclinic fees are based on  DBC (diagnosis-treatment combination) codes.  During your initial visit, the specialist makes a preliminary diagnosis which is connected to a specific DBC. Your treatment and follow up visits during a period of up to four months, fall under that specific DBC. DBC codes follow the rules and regulations set up by the NZa (Dutch Health Authority).

No-show / Cancellation fees 

We adhere to a strict 24-hour No-show / cancellation policy.  Therefore, please be aware that unless we receive at least 24 hours notice by emailing us, prior to an appointment with one of our specialists, you will receive an invoice and be charged a No-show / cancellation fee.    This fee is not usually reimbursed by your insurance company. 

For specialists, a 45 euro cancellation fee applies.
