Specialist consultation fees
Professional fees charged in The Netherlands for specialist services are likely to be quite different compared to those in your own country. Therefore, your final bill may seem either relatively expensive or inexpensive to you.
All fees are set in The Netherlands according to a pricing code called the DBC (diagnosis-treatment combination). Each diagnosis has its own DBC and fixed fee, which is an average of all visits and treatments associated with the diagnosis. Therefore, your final bill will vary depending upon the actual diagnosis and number of consultations you have had with the specialist.
The bills you receive from the Polikliniek Prins Willem comply with the Dutch billing system and should be accepted by your Insurance provider.
