IHCH (International Health Care Centre) is looking for a dental receptionist and/or dental assistant.
Our receptionist team provide essential administrative support to our dentist and assistant staff, ensuring the smooth operation of dental clinic on a daily basis. Our assistant team are proficient in chair side general assisting duties, sterilisation techniques and the operation of clinic equipment. Regular clinic hours are Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 17:00.
Key Responsibilities for dental receptionist:
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
- Coordinate communication between patients, medical professionals, and the finance department.
- Process billing and payments on the spot.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient files and medical documentation.
- Handle incoming correspondence (emails, phone calls, etc.) and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Provide administrative support for healthcare professionals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and privacy regulations (GDPR)
Key Responsibilities for dental assistant:
• Chairside assisting
- Efficient set-up/clean-up of treatment rooms and constant organisation of instruments
- Responsible for the smooth running of the sterilisation area and restocking of rooms
- Maintain safe and sanitary working environment by complying with protocols
- Accurate recording and charting of treatment information into patient files
- Taking of impressions and coordinating with laboratories
- Providing postoperative patient instructions as directed by the dentist
- Taking/developing bitewing/panoramic x-rays and maintaining dental x-ray equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Dutch and other language is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Dental Assisting qualification/certificate (or working towards certification) or equivalent
- Experience within a general dental practice environment
- Knowledge of dental clinic protocols and adhering to guidelines
- Strong cultural respect in an international environment
- Must be able to work independently and quickly within a fast-paced team
- Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule and provide cover when needed
- Maintain a high standard of patient friendly focused care
- Consistent and professional appearance along with a caring attitude
- Experience working within an international environment.
- Knowledge of implantology, periodontal surgery and orthodontic assistant duties. X-ray certification.
